What Does the following X-ray Indicate?

Just got my x-ray result and it says faint opacity, right upper lung field, I had same result as last year but I was advised to have another x-ray with lordotic view of the chest and the result is clear apices, chest structures are distorted due to positioning. Now, I am bothered coz I have same result again as last year, what does this mean? Is this a serious problem?

Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

As per your description it seems you have a faint opacity(something abnormal, probably a scarring lesion) of the apex(top) of your lung. Or it could be an artifact due to improper positioning during the procedure. Lordotic view does not show anything abnormal,so you don't need to worry regarding this.
Most often apical opacity indicates an old and healed tuberculosis. It takes very long to clear this opacity. It does not indicate active disease process and no treatment is required as of now.
You can take a repeat X-ray to look for any lesion,if something abnormal is detected go for a CT scan for a better picture.

Hope I have answered your query.
regards.
